Critical Specifications for Manufacturing:

• Material Choice & Caliper (Thickness):
  • Board Type: SBS (Solid Bleached Sulfate), Folding Box Board (FBB), Kraft Board (SUS), or Corrugated (less common for this style unless heavy-duty).
  • Board Weight/Thickness: CRITICAL for performance. Must be rigid enough to hold the lock securely without buckling or tearing. Common weights:
  • Folding Cartons: 18pt, 24pt, 32pt SBS/FBB (200gsm - 350gsm+).
  • Rigid Feel: 24pt+ is common for a sturdy feel.
  • Corrugated: E-flute or B-flute are possible for heavier items.

Precision Die-Cutting & Dieline:

• Dieline File: MUST be expertly created and tested (Vector AI/EPS). Includes:
• Exact shape of all panels.
• Placement and size of the two main locking tabs.
• Placement and size of the slots in the buckle flap.
• Shape and fold lines of the buckle flap itself.
• Crease lines (scores) for folds. Score depth must be calibrated to the board thickness.
